About this blog

My name is Missy Rosenberry, and I love to write.

I didn’t realize how much I loved to write until I began blogging for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle in April 2008. That gig ended nine years later, in March 2017, when the D&C decided to discontinue their community blogs.

But still I write.

Since I began, I’ve posted more than 2,000 blogs about Webster, featuring countless topics from new businesses to community events, interesting people to beautiful artwork. Some of my favorite posts are the ones I’m labeling “Slice of Life,” about the simple, sometimes silly, things that happen that make our lives fun.

Thanks for reading, and please send me any ideas you have for future blogs.

Thank you for publishing Maggie’s story (St. Patty leprechaun at Schlegel) I look forward to it! I’m sorry to know you are longer in the D&C. That stinks! Knowing what’s going on it’d be nice to know if there was a “hard copy” for keepsakes!
    Thank you!

Thanks for your comment! I can try to print off a format a hard copy of the blog for you, and send it as a .pdf if you’d like.

Would you be willing to advertise Klem North PTSA’s upcoming Bill Gray’s and Sticky Lips fundraisers?

Ok so I live on Park ave in the village and we had sidewalks replaced on the north side this year(looks nice) but for my neighbors on the south side who will be having the same improvement, I ask that the village not reseed with weeds but grass!🙄

That’s a great point. You should drop an email to the Supt. of Public Works, Jake Swingly. Or better yet, attend the next Village Board meeting and speak your piece!

Do you know what happened to the nice elderly woman that walked around Hard Rd and Publisher’s parkway picking up trash along the way. She was small about 4’8″ and maybe in her 80’s. We miss seeing her.

No, I don’t. I don’t even remember seeing her before.

The first responders spray park is sadly very poorly run and maintained. In every visit my granddaughter enjoyed the water features but every few minutes they all ran out of water, t he pump house sounding like a pump running empty. Could be a fine park, but needs someone who cares to run it.

That’s sad to hear. It was such a nice facility when it first opened, and greatly needed, since the one at Ridgecrest is embarrassing. Thanks for the comment.

    Hi Missy
    Gwen Hoffman here.
I’m putting together a December summary of the Museum Festival of trees event.
Do you have any musical group pictures?
If not , I’ll be sending along the names of the winning trees and pics, as well as thank yous to my tree decorators.
