More details about Schroeder Drama’s The Addams Family

17 Apr

I just got an email yesterday with some more details about Webster Schroeder’s performance of The Addams Family next weekend.

Shows are scheduled for Friday April 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday April 24 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Of course, thanks to Covid, they can’t open up the auditorium to packed audiences, so they’ve arranged to live-stream each performance, which should be just as enjoyable as the in-person experience (plus, you don’t even have to leave your living room!).

You can purchase live-stream tickets by clicking here. You won’t even have to print off a ticket. Instead, you’ll receive an email with a StreamPass code. Simply click the code link and you’re in. Tickets are $10 each.

Snag some deals, support Webster Schroeder Musicals!

4 Aug

auction 10

This “movie night” basket is one of almost two dozen goodie packs the band is auctioning off.

Webster Schroeder Musicals has come up with a creative way to raise a little money. They’re holding an Facebook-based online auction for almost two dozen gift packs featuring snacks, pet supplies, items for the home, craft supplies and more.

The auction can be found on Schroeder Musicals’ Facebook page.  You’ll find photos there or each package or basket, and you can make your bid by clicking on the photo and putting your bid in the comments.

All items are labeled with a minimum bid amount and minimum bid increments. The auction ends at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday Aug. 5. If more than one individual bids at the same time upon closing, the item will go to the first person who posted their bid.

Once the auction is over, send the band a private message with your name and email address. They’ll email your invoice and information for your electronic payment. All payments will need to be made via PayPal. Items will be available for pick up in Webster.

For more information and to see all the goodies, check out the Facebook page, and if you have any questions, you can message the band through the page.

All proceeds from this auction will benefit students participating in Webster Schroeder Musicals.

Here are a few more samples of the available packages:

Webster Schroeder HS kicks off fall musical season

25 Sep

Joseph2Wow. The fall musical season has already started in our high schools, and I haven’t even had a chance to write up my annual preview column for the D&C.

So let me take the opportunity RIGHT NOW to tell you about Webster Schroeder’s upcoming performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, happening this weekend.

Here’s the description from the ticket website:

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Joseph is one of the most enduring shows of all time. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a re-imagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph as he discovers his ability to interpret dreams.

Showtimes are Friday Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 28 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Reserve tickets are $10 to $15, available at any area Wegmans or online at websterschroedermusicals.com (I always get mine at Wegmans, since ShowTix charges a service fee.) Schroeder productions are always incredible, so I highly recommend putting this one on your calendar.

Webster Schroeder High School is located at 875 Ridge Rd.
